Created a song about slashdot. Slashdot is a website dedicated to technical content which has many inside jokes. If you read slashdot, you might like "Read it on Slashdot" the ROCK SONG! As a long time lurker and occasional poster on Slashdot, I was inspired to write a song. The songs about all the quirky memes and shared knowledge on Slashdot.
Yes, a song about Slashdot..and why not. It's a great site with so much history and great inside jokes. Even with faults, I still find it the best place to get a variety of news and find some very insightful comments. Yes, I think I'm playing with fire if someone (maybe even me) ever posts this to Slashdot! I have 400 Gig of outbound bandwidth, although I think the PHP/MySQL component will die first.
The song "I Read It On Slashdot" is filled with references to some of these jokes (or meme, if you prefer). Some will be obvious to everyone and some are a bit harder to catch.... Hopefully, you will find this song (Score:5, Funny).

As a software / computer professional, I've read Slashdot for years. My relatively high id on Slashdot is primarily due to laziness to register and post...I finally decided I was a AC for far too long.
As a musician, I play drums, guitar, bass and started to create my own music (no more cover bands for me) around 2005. You can hear my music under the band name "Abandon At My Place" or on myspace . Slashdotter might also like "Lie of Security", it is a song about the loss of freedoms.
